THE STORY SO FAR:
His largely self-produced third album picks up where his big 2007 hit "Lost Without U" left off, with Thicke cooing in an airy falsetto that holds promises of honesty, fidelity and long nights in the boudoir focused solely on Her Pleasure.
THE CRITICISM
The tracks that I was given codes to hear are amazing. Robin Thicke's best tracks from the last album are recut and mixed into GenAudio. I first heard of GenAudio off of their work on "Hellboy II: The Golden Army". But, what matters is that this is the first time I've heard music like this. Hardcore audiophiles worship at the throne of BOSE. But, this couldn't come from a BOSE setup. This is music rethought at the miniscule level.
You hear a channel by channel breakdown of the accompaniment. Then, you hear Robin Thicke break it down. The lyrics are sweet and you can make sense of everything. There's no confusion or muddled lyrics that slip past your ear. There is only a clarity unmatched by anything. Well, save for going to a live performance.
This is perfection brought to your doorstep. I wholeheartedly recommend listening to anything that GenAudio remixes in the future. They are the future of music and sound mixing. I can't wait to see what they do in film or in the music world. Hell, why haven't they been brought in for film scores? Imagine hearing the John Williams' classics coming at you in this seven channel mix. It would be simply incredible.
